RNs will do an initial health assessment upon asylum seekers' arrival to the location, then arrange for a medical checkup with a doctor or nurse practitioner within the first 30 days.

Other responsibilities include:

Performing health and wellness checks with the claimant(s) once per shift or as required
Maintaining health checks records
Coordinating transfer to external services as required (hospital, urgent care, walk-in)
Completing and safely storing documentation required for each claimant
Administering medication if needed
Coordinating communication with the hotel for meals, taxi service, housekeeping, laundry, etc.
Other duties as assigned or required
